HIGHLY COMMENDED: SCG CONSTRUCTION - WILD WAVES, BEACHCOMER
SCG Construction was awarded the contract to convert existing buildings on the Wild Coast Sun & Casino Complex to a new entrance hub for the new Wild Waves Water Park.
The project incorporated all the disciplines of construction notably specialised theming techniques and carpentry. Prior to the installation of the new aluminium roof sheets all hazardous asbestos based materials was removed by specialized teams and disposed of appropriately. New turrets were engineered and constructed on the building to form part of the theming. An impressive Portico was constructed to join the existing buildings and themed, the portico and staircase mark the entrance to the facility.
All services were completely upgraded incorporating innovations in guest/customer controls. New change rooms with lockers, ticket offices as well as retail facilities were built. The entire external area was completely landscaped and fenced to complete the installation.
