House Page was designed by Pennington based Colette’s Architectural Designs, in keeping with the estate guidelines this home is a typical Natal Colonial design with wrap around verandah, red facebrick and corrugated roof covering.
The foundations deviated from conventional strip footings. The engineer specified concrete pads varying in size with brick columns brought up to support beams which hold the weight of the house.

The scope of work on this project was to construct a double storey house in Garlington estate in Hilton. The estate in its self poses some serious challenges for any builder as it boarders on a conservancy where streams and wildlife are present, posing environmental challenges that include general working space.
