In 2018, the Association introduced an exhibition element to the Annual awards for the purpose of providing Associate members (suppliers) with an affordable platform to gain high level exposure at KZN’s premier construction event. In 2019, the Association once again kept the price of exhibiting at the venue as reasonable as possible and we were delighted that members took advantage of the offer. Well done to all exhibitors for their fantastic displays and for contributing to the splendour of the occasion.
In the Midlands the Association attended a meeting hosted by Msunduzi Municipality where they launched the new E4 Rates Clearance Software. There is tremendous concern over water supply stoppages in the areas between Hibberdene and Ramsgate. Ugu Municipality have announced that these areas are without water as a result of high tide, affecting the St Helens Rock abstraction point. The installation of a berm at St Helen’s Rock pump station has yielded positive results, after the conductivity level dropped to 129ms/s. This has allowed for pumping to Bhobhoyi Water Works. The municipality announced that their priority is raise the Boboyi plant reservoir level to the 75% mark.
