The South Coast annual golf day took place at the Port Shepstone Country Club on Friday 05 May 2017. Conditions were once again pristine and we could not have wished for better. 

In battle for bragging rights and the opportunity to hold up the PSG Master Builders KZN South Coast trophy, a full field of 32 teams took to the fairways for the 10am shotgun start.
 
As is tradition for the South Coast event, a competition was held for the best T-Box display and all marketing partners were ready to shower players with hospitality, in order to win their vote. The prize for best T-Box ultimately went to F S Gonzalves Construction.

Players where in high spirits and birdies, pars and eagles were recorded. After all scorecards had been accounted for, the top three teams emerged as follows:

First place was Anthony & Basson Development CC
Second place was Macsharp Timbers
Third place was P & G Construction 

The donation of a golf cart trailer by The Celling & Cornice Shop together with Mac Steel from Scottburgh and a 2500 litres water tank donated by Roto Tank KZN, added to the splendour. 

Both these items were auctioned at prizegiving to help fund the Association’s CSI project aimed at uplifting a rural school where children currently use a steel container as a classroom. The trailer was sold at R11 500 and the water tank at R2700. 

The Master of Ceremonies Mr Bevis Fairbrother and Auctioneer Mr. Wane Wridgway greatly to the festive atmosphere and to the entertainment of everybody.

Catering was sponsored by Umthunzi Hotel, Nuform and Cois Plumbing & Renovators and Port Shepstone Country Club.

As many participants have said “this event is a must save date on the calendar” so look out for next year’s event.
