Construction Industry News and Views                          Edition 178                         03 February 2020

Dear Members and Readers

Investor confidence is low which does not bode well for the construction sector and based on current economic forecasts; tough times look set to continue. Economists are predicting that increased power cuts, the slow pace of structural reforms and the possibility of a ratings agency downgrade, will continue to hamper economic growth throughout 2020. In light of this, members are urged to keep a strong handle on company finances and to strategize and re-strategize if necessary to ensure sustainability. Members are reminded that the Association exists to represent their interests and to provide them with specialist support services so that they may rest assured that quality advice, assistance and guidance, is just a phone call away.

The Association prides itself on creating platforms where members can engage with industry experts on matters that impact the business of construction. To this end, there are a number of member meetings scheduled for February 2020 across KZN Province, so lookout for the invites. Members should also note that entries for the Excellence in Construction competition are now open, click here to download entry form (MSWord).
