The Association has the following exciting opportunity for a Marketing Assistant.
Title of Position: Marketing Assistant
Classification: Permanent
PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION
Assists in all aspects of marketing, public relations, events and Membership Services support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Marketing Assistant, you will provide support to all departments and the Association at large.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Compiling and distribution of the e-newsletter, e-bulletin and other digital communication.
- Coordinate Association events and functions, trade shows and exhibits, where relevant
- Source marketing partners for functions and events.
- Promote all products on offer with regards to the Association’s advertising hub.
- Manage social media: YouTube Channel, Facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram.
- Upload articles on the Association website.
- Ensure branding at all events and meetings.
- Create brand awareness.
- Dissemination of information to members and stakeholders as required.
- Take notes and minutes of meetings when required.
- Manage the marketing material and photo library.
- Drafting and implementation of Marketing Plan and Communication Plan.
- Compiling of marketing related project plans.
- Compiling the marketing budget.
- Proof reading and editing.
- Invoicing for marketing.
- Collating and editing of the Annual Review.
- Coordinate design work across all units.
- Information Management on the website.
- Monitor customer care survey.
- Assist with CASA marketing.
- Assist the office of the Executive Director with specific tasks, project and programs as directed.
- Any other duties relating to Marketing, Membership Services or the Association as a whole, which may reasonably be expected of an employee in this position.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
- At least five years relevant experience.
- A Marketing qualification will be an added advantage.
- Advanced knowledge in any of the following: Power point, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, Office 2003/2010 and Outlook.
- Intermediate knowledge of the Internet/Web.
- Articulate and good telephone manners.
- Professional level of organisation.
- Excellent Communication skills, both written and oral.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to assist with systems.
- Effective project management skills.
- Completing tasks within deadline.
- Have a valid driver’s licence and own transport.
