Winner: Inyoni Homes CC House De Klerk

In keeping with the estate guidelines House De Klerk, 35 Abrams Crest is the perfect balance between modern living and the simplicity of the South Coast. From the road the secrets of this house are so well hidden but once you open the heavy custom front door you will be transported to a tranquil hideaway.
All brickwork was carried out using NFP and NFX load bearing bricks where required. Corobrik Roan Satin Facebrick to the exterior. Walls are plastered and skimmed – having included a dado rail keeping with the old colonial feel this home. The high ceilings and tall doors just add to the splendor. The client chose the very best finishes with the confidence and the faith that we would share their vision.

Highly Commended: Inyoni Homes CC, Songbird - House Semmelrath

House Semmelrath designed by Gerhard’s Architectural lends itself to lazy poolside mornings, with an escape to a private courtyard if the weather turns. Our client chose white as an internal wall colour keeping the house as light as possible. The internal doors are 2.4m in height and solid custom timber, the simplicity is magnificent. Custom timber pergolas and screens make this home blend into the tranquil surroundings. This being an ECO ESTATE, we are closely monitored by the environmental rules and guidelines of the estate as well as the environmentalist assigned to the area who plays a huge role in the decisions made on the estate. The house was completed and handed over in January 2017.

Highly Commended: Highly Commended: D Construction, House Kajee

The structure of the house is a combination of cast in situ surface beds, suspended concrete roofs, and brickwork.  A concrete pump was used on numerous occasions and approximately 450m³ of concrete were placed in this house. A bore hole was also installed with the plan of not having to rely on the municipal water supply. This was linked to a water purification plant for the household. A solar power generation system was also installed, again with the plan of not being reliant on the municipal/Eskom supply. An interior designer was involved during all stages of the contract. There were no lost time accidents during the contract.
