Winner: DAE Construction, New Precast Yard & Ancillary Buildings
The centre provides shower facilities for 80 people, which made water and energy conversation a priority. Solar geysers are used for heating water, taps and toilets are low flow/flush and waterless urinals are used. Rainwater is either drained to planter areas or harvested in rainwater tanks, where it is used for toilet flushing and irrigation. The office block roof slabs are insulated and landscaped roof garden, though airconditioned, provides a cool working environment. No accidents or any safety incidents recorded on this project.
